School Playground near Maidstone, Kent
Offham Primary School commissioned a new playground on a challenging site with a steep muddy bank and some existing trees.The budget was restricted. LHLA worked with Earth Wrights from Totnes in Devon to design a bespoke and challenging natural play-space under and around the retained trees using the contours of the bank to create slides, platforms and steps. Earth Wrights did a brilliant job working over the summer holidays: the playspace was officially opened with great excitement on 9th September 2017, on time and in budget.
